The Truth About Corrupted Shinnok Ps4: How to Find and Unlock the Hidden Character

By completing half of the story mode players will unlock a trophy called A New Beginning, and when they finish 100 percent they'll earn one called There is a Ruler. Of course, if you're playing on the PC or Xbox One, these would be called achievements rather than trophies.

The sixth chapter of the game will begin with a battle against Baraka, and will be followed by a QTE event, then battles against Rain and Mileena. It's also worth noting that this is the midway point of the campaign, and completing this chapter will unlock the PS4 trophy, A New Beginning. Of course, if you're playing on the Xbox One or PC, this will not be a trophy, but rather an achievement.

How To Unlock Corrupted Shinnok Ps4

Chapter nine of the Mortal Kombat X story mode follows the same formula as many others before it, but this time out you get to unlock something for your troubles - Scorpion's Hanzo Hitachi Alternate Costume.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, start out by defeating Sonya, then completing the chapter's QTE event. When that's done, battle it out against Johnny Cage, Sub-Zero, and finally, Quan Chi. As mentioned, the latter of these battles will unlock Scorpion's Hanzo Hitachi Alternate Costume, a decent reward for a chapter of work.

Unlike previous chapters, the QTEs are all done for the remainder of the Mortal Kombat X story mode. From here on out it's nothing but battles, and in chapter 10 players will step into the role of Raiden, fighting against Baraka, D'Vorah, Kung Lao and Liu Kang. Unfortunately, there are no unlocks or rewards for your troubles.

The final chapter of the game is going to see players battle first against Sindel, but it's the next three interactions that will bring the rewards. The second battle, for example, is against Kitana, and will see players unlock the Infected Sky Temple Stage upon its completion. The third fight against D'Vorah also has some pretty sweet rewards, such as the Infected Jinsei Chamber Stage and Two Souls in the Mortal Kombat X mobile game.

The final battle in the Mortal Kombat X story mode will be against Corrupted Shinnok, and winning is how you unlock Shinnok as a playable character. It's also how you complete the campaign, unlocking a trophy called There is a New Ruler for the PS4. Again, players on the Xbox One and PC will see this appear as an achievement, although it has the same name.

As a playable character, Corrupted Shinnok will be the last battle in the Mortal Kombat X story mode. You must win this battle to unlock Shinnok. As part of the campaign, you unlock a trophy called There is a New Ruler for the PS4.

Netherrealm had hidden several characters in Mortal Kombat X, but now you can unlock them after renaming some files in the game. The Assets folder contains Rain, Baraka, Sindel, or Corrupted Shinnok (final boss).

You can unlock alternate character costumes in Mortal Kombat X by completing Klassic Towers, finding them in the Krypt, or unlocking them via the Mortal Kombat X mobile game. There are a few exceptions, with some alternate costumes only being available via downloadable content (DLC), but you can get almost every alternate costume in the game with a bit of time and effort.

Many of the alternate costumes have multiple unlock methods to make this process a bit easier. Any costumes listed with multiple unlock methods, the costume can be unlocked with ANY of these methods, you do not have to complete every method listed.

If you want to unlock this area of the Krypt you're going to need to get your hands on Scorpion's Spear, which can be found sticking out of a tree in the Walkway of Souls (-13, 19). The other item you're going to need is Sub-Zero's Ice Ball (-21, 20), and isn't far from the location of the Spear. To enter the Spider Tunnels (3, 9) simply return to the Frozen Graves where you originally entered the Krypt.

This area is unlocked by moving through the Switch Passage. As you get closer, you'll probably notice the string of numbers on the wall, and as it turns out, these numbers are your key to getting past this part of the Krypt. If you somehow missed them, don't sweat it, we've got them right here -- 4, 1, 3, 2. Now move to the far end of the hallway, and then use the switches in the order of the numbers. Once the door is open you'll be rewarded with 6,000 Koins, as well as an open entryway into Kotal's Kave. Time to move deeper.

The Shrine of the Dead is another major area in the Krpyt, and here you'll find a part of the game that is eager to take all of your Koins in a gamble for new items. There are quite a few items that you must win from the Shrine, and in order to keep this guide more organized we've actually created a whole new article just for this area of the Krypt. You can find a complete checklist, as well as betting tips for the Shrine, in our complete guide to unlocking every item in the Shrine of the Dead.

There's a lot to be said about Mortal Kombat X, and I don't feel like saying any of it. Instead, you get a convenient and easy-to-use guide to unlocking most of the game's alternate costumes.Every character has one costume they can get just by clearing the Klassic Tower, and some have others they can get by completing other tasks in-game.

Like previous Mortal Kombat games, Mortal Kombat X's gameplay consists of two players, or one player and the CPU, fighting against each other with their selected character, using a large, varied array of character-specific attacks. The game contains several modes, such as a story mode, which takes place twenty-five years after the previous Mortal Kombat game, several 'Tower' modes, which feature dynamically changing challenges, numerous online modes, and the 'Krypt', a mode played in a first person perspective, where players explore the areas unlocking a variety of in-game items.

For local single-player, the game offers Story mode, a plot-driven mode with cutscenes between fights; and Living Towers, an evolved form of Mortal Kombat's Challenge Tower where the play conditions change. Also locally, player vs. player mode is available. Playing online, the play modes include 1 vs. 1 (ranked or random), King of the Hill, Survivor, and Test Your Luck. Another new mode is Faction Wars, where players choose one from the five factions to align with, and join a persistent online cross-platform competition with others, winning points for their faction, contributing in the conflict between them, ranking up personally, and earning special rewards such as faction-specific finishing moves (one of which is unlocked to the player if their faction wins at the end of any given week).[9][10]

Sometime later, Raiden, now in possession of Shinnok's amulet and corrupted in the process of purifying the Jinsei, issues a warning to the revenants Liu Kang and Kitana, now rulers of the Netherrealm, that they will face "fates worse than death" if they threaten Earthrealm. Raiden leaves behind Shinnok's severed, but still living head as a final warning before departing.

On March 2, 2015, NetherRealm Studios announced that their mobile division would release an iOS/Android version of Mortal Kombat X in April 2015. The mobile game is described as a "free-to-play fighting/card-battler hybrid" and players would be able to unlock content in the console version of the game by playing the mobile version (and vice versa).[56] The iOS version was released worldwide on April 7, 2015, while the Android version was soft launched on April 21, 2015, in select Asian countries[57] and was officially launched worldwide on May 4, 2015.[58]

Despite being a powerful figure, Raiden has fallen countless times to the likes of Shao Kahn and eventually being outmatched by his mentee Liu Kang. This, however, doesn't negate Raiden's immense power. He has protected Earthrealm from various threats throughout his existence, at one point even going as far as becoming corrupted for the sake of his realm's safety.

In here, you need to defeat 10 opponents. In the event of a failure, you can continue the game 3 times. The final boss here is Shinnok, but he does not obey the rules of fair play, because you will have to fight one more, final, round, after you win the customary 2. This is when Shinnok takes on the stronger form of Corrupted Shinnok that you have seen in the story mode. In the final round, his attacks are much stronger and the strength of your attacks is decreased. After you complete the Tower, you can unlock additional items, such as, e.g. Skinny.

Dark Raiden, for those who don't remember MKX , appeared at the story's conclusion after he purified Shinnok's amulet in the Jinsei. The process corrupted the Lightning God as he now possesses Shinnok's amulet, and he is hateful toward Earthrealm. 2ff7e9595c
